"I started playing the drums in a marching band (bagpipes) when l was about 8 years old. Then started with a youth club band at around 17. Over the years have played with all sorts of combinations, including a band called Mississsippi – playing in Catholic and lrish clubs. We used to refer to ourselves as The Mis-haps – for reasons l won’t go into. A few more years went by and l joined a band called The Firebrigade – and eventually joined The Crew in the mid nineties... First came into contact with Rob in the late sixties and he was a wizard on the guitar even then!! God! Nearly 40 years! More recently l decided that l’d like to start learning the saxophone – always liked the sound. And for the last four years have been singing tenor in a barbershop quartet and chorus. |
